My Blue Bombers vs Argonauts pick: Blue Bombers -5.5 (-110 at BET99)
Zach Collaros and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers struggled in their last two games against the much-improved Calgary Stampeders, but they will have an easier task against the Toronto Argonauts.
The Argos lost half of their defensive starters in the offseason, which has resulted in them ranking second-last in the CFL in yards per play allowed (7.18) and points allowed per game (31.5).
They've been especially vulnerable in the back end, where they surrender a league-high 9.9 yards per pass attempt.
While Winnipeg will have Collaros under center, Toronto will again be without superstar quarterback Chad Kelly, who is still recovering from a broken leg suffered last year.
Backup Nick Arbuckle was the hero in last year's Grey Cup, but his long-term track record isn't great, and Toronto's poor blocking hasn't helped.
Arbuckle is ninth in the CFL in pass efficiency (trailing every other starting QB), and the Argos are averaging a league-low 3.7 yards per rush.
They won't be able to keep pace with the Bombers on Saturday.

Winnipeg allowed 78 points in its last two games. However, that was largely due to the Bombers' offense turning the ball over, leading to multiple defensive scores and poor field position.
The Argos are second-last in the league in turnovers forced, so expect a much cleaner game from Winnipeg's offense here. That should allow the Bombers' defense to shine against an anemic Toronto offense that averages a league-low 6.0 yards per play.
