HR Prop #1: Salvador Perez
Salvador Perez has been smacking homers left and right this season.
The veteran has gone deep 29 times, and he’ll be eyeing No. 30 this evening as the Kansas City Royals begin a series with the Toronto Blue Jays. It’s Max Scherzer on the hill, and Perez will be looking forward to facing him.
He’s 12-for-34 lifetime with three long balls against Scherzer, who has also given up five bombs in his last four appearances. Overall, opponents have taken Scherzer deep 16 times in only 15 starts.
Perez has also left the yard four times across his last five games. There’s a very good chance he gets hold of one tonight.
HR Prop #2: George Springer
We’ll shift to the other side of this matchup with George Springer.
The outfielder continues to be one of the Jays’ best hitters. He’s batting .302 with 29 home runs and 78 RBI. Springer is a dangerous weapon every time he steps in the box.
September has been kind to Springer. He’s hitting .312 this month, including five home runs. He’ll face Michael Lorenzen tonight, whom he’s 0-for-1 against lifetime. But Springer has 21 homers off right-handed hurlers, and 13 on the road.
Lorenzen is prone to the long ball, too. He’s surrendered 22 home runs in 26 appearances in 2025. Twelve of those bombs were off the bats of right-handed hitters.
HR Prop #3: Taylor Ward
Taylor Ward is having a breakout campaign for the Los Angeles Angels. He’s clubbed a career-high 33 home runs, surpassing last year’s total of 25.
While Ward is only batting .225, his power output has been ridiculously impressive. The 31-year-old has three long balls in his last five games, leaving the yard twice on Wednesday against the Brewers.
The Halos face the Rockies tonight, who send the struggling Bradley Blalock to the bump. He’s been awful, compiling a 9.00 ERA in 12 appearances. The righty has allowed 14 home runs.
While Ward has never faced him, this is a prime opportunity for No. 34.
