The Florida Gators are the new champions of college basketball. Florida entered the National Title game against Houston as a -1 betting favorite at most sportsbooks.

Did Florida cover the spread?

Update: Florida covered the -1 spread against Houston, winning by 2 points. The final score was Florida 65, Houston 63.

Florida has been a spread betting darling this season, owning one of the best against-the-spread records in the nation. The Gators were 29-11-0 ATS this season. Todd Golden’s bunch covers 71.8% of the time. Their ATS plus/minus is +5.1.

However, the Gators have not done so well ATS during March Madness in 2025. Florida is just 2-3 ATS in this year’s Big Dance.

Here is a look at the final scores and ATS results in the five tourney games they’ve played thus far:

  • Norfolk State (Final: 95-69; Did not cover -29 spread)
  • UConn (Final: 77-75; Did not cover -9 spread)
  • Maryland (Final: 87-71; Covered -7 spread)
  • Texas Tech (Final: 84-79; Did not cover -7 spread)
  • Auburn (Final: 79-73; Covered -2 spread)
