Saturday’s final Premier League game is a huge clash with Aston Villa and Newcastle meeting at Villa Park, as the battle to finish in the Champions League spots gets heated.
Both teams come into this in strong form, particularly in front of goal, which is why our Aston Villa vs. Newcastle predictions have both teams scoring and the game finishing with three or more goals.

Premier League predictions for Aston Villa vs Newcastle
My best bet: Both teams to score and Over 2.5 (-120 at bet365)
My analysis
Liverpool and Arsenal are surely into the Champions League for next year, meaning Newcastle and Aston Villa are fighting for the remaining three spots with Nottingham Forest, Man City, and Chelsea. A win for Newcastle, who are five points ahead of Chelsea and Villa, would give them a huge advantage in this race, but it’s far from an easy task.
Both of these teams are excellent, both have good managers and smart attackers, and both come into this in great form. For that reason, we won’t be backing either team to win, as it’s genuinely that hard to call. Instead, the best bet for this game is for the both teams to score and Over 2.5 parlay.
Aston Villa come into this following the crushing disappointment of being knocked out of the Champions League, but they can take heart in the fact that they came from 2-0 down on Tuesday to win 3-2.
This is a team who’ve been scoring a lot of goals recently. In their past nine games they’ve scored 22 goals, and have hit three goals in five of those nine games. They’ve seen Over 2.5 goals in 62.5% of their league games at Villa Park and 22 of their 32 league games overall.
They have been very strong at home, with their last league defeat at Villa Park taking place back in October. However, they do give other teams a chance, and we’ve seen both teams to score land in 21 of 32 games.
Meanwhile, Newcastle are riding a hot streak, winning six straight games in all competitions, of which their past five games have all had Over 2.5 goals. A total of 21 of Newcastle’s 32 Premier League games have had Over 2.5 goals, with 62.5% of their games away from home hitting that mark.
We have two teams here with real attacking talent, Alexander Isak is in great form for Newcastle, while the Villa team have goals in them with Ollie Watkins, Marcus Rashford, and Morgan Rogers all able to both create and finish goals. Both teams played midweek and tired legs should mean more goals.
Aston Villa vs Newcastle same-game parlay (SGP)
Alexander Isak has scored 21 goals in the Premier League this season and tied Erling Haaland for second in the league’s goal-scoring charts behind Mohamed Salah with a goal against Crystal Palace on Wednesday. He’s scored six in his past eight and comes into this in strong form.
Marcus Rashford has regained his form since arriving on loan to Villa in January and has begun to cement himself as a starter, as seen by the fact he was chosen to start in both key Champions League games against PSG. He got an assist in Tuesday’s game against the Parisians and has three goals and four assists for his new club since arriving.
