We’re onto the fifth PGA Tour signature event of the 2025 season, and it’s a stacked field heading to Harbour Town for this week's RBC Heritage.
World No. 1 and defending champion Scottie Scheffler is alone atop the RBC Heritage odds lists, but I’m looking past the betting favorite with Harbour Town specialist Patrick Cantlay headlining my top golf picks this week.
Golf picks for the RBC Heritage 2025
- Cantlay to win outright (+2000 at DraftKings)
- Henley to win outright (+2800 at FanDuel)
- Berger Top 20 (+150 at DraftKings)
- Homa Top 30 (+115 at DraftKings)
- Im Round 1 Under 69.5 (-115 at DraftKings)
RBC Heritage outright picks
Outright pick: Patrick Cantlay
+2000 at DraftKings
With five Top 5s in the RBC Heritage, Patrick Cantlay is a proven force at Harbour Town. The eight-time PGA Tour winner gained true strokes on approach in each of his past three trips and heads to the 2025 event gaining true strokes on approach in six consecutive tournaments to rank fifth in the metric in this field during the run.
Cantlay struggled around the greens at Augusta National to finish T36 in the Masters, which gives us a much friendlier number this week. He was in the +1600 range ahead of last year’s tournament, after all.
Outright pick: Russell Henley
+2800 at FanDuel
It was a disappointing Masters for Russell Henley, and he missed his first cut in over a calendar year.
Still, the 36-year-old American shot a second-round 68 while ranking fifth in true strokes gained tee-to-green and third on approach. I’m not going to knock the five-time PGA Tour winner too heavily for a single poor round in a major championship.
Plus, he's had success at Harbour Town with consecutive Top 20s and has gained true strokes on approach in four consecutive trips to this event.
RBC Heritage prop picks
Finishing position pick: Daniel Berger Top 20
+150 at DraftKings
It’s safe to say Daniel Berger is back. He’s gained true strokes across the board while carding six Top 25s across his past seven events. He has also played the weekend in each of his past five trips to Harbour Town, including a solid T3 in 2020.
I also value that he’s improved in true strokes gained approach in each of his past four visits to this event and heads to the 2025 edition ranked 13th in true strokes gained tee-to-green, second in driving accuracy, and 16th in true strokes gained putting in this field during the highlighted seven-tournament stretch.
Finishing position pick: Max Homa Top 30
+115 at DraftKings
Max Homa missed five consecutive cuts before his breakthrough T12 at the Masters, and the six-time PGA Tour winner finished the opening major ranked 12th in true strokes gained on approach and fourth in true strokes gained putting.
While I’m not shouting from the rooftops that Homa’s all the way back, he has to feel as confident as he has since last year’s T3 at Augusta National. His track record at Harbour Town doesn’t jump off the page, but this is a reasonable number in a small field for a player with his resume.
RBC Heritage first-round pick
Round 1 pick: Sungjae Im Under 69.5
-115 at DraftKings
There’s a lot to like about Sungjae Im heading into the 2025 RBC Heritage. He flipped the script for a T5 at the Masters while gaining true strokes across the board, and he’s also been solid at Harbour Town with four consecutive Top 25s, including a T7 in 2023 and T12 last year.
Im has shot 69 or better in six of his past eight rounds at Harbour Town and 11 of 16 during the highlighted four-year stretch. Additionally, he’s finished inside the Top 20 in true strokes gained tee-to-green in each of his past four trips to the track, including second in the field in 2023 and fourth in 2022.
