Today's Best NRFI/YRFI Bets for Saturday, June 7

Jack Kochanowicz doesn't miss bats and relies on location to get outs. The Angels starter can get knocked around early as a result, and we like the Mariners to jump all over him in the opening frame tonight.

NRFI/YRFI bets for June 7

Blue Jays at Twins: YRFI  (-106 at ProphetX)

If you’re seeking a YRFI, why not pick the Minnesota Twins, who have seen the most first-inning runs this season?

Minnesota starter Chris Paddack is cruising toward regression, and Minnesota has lost three straight he’s started, allowing 14 runs.

Additionally, Toronto Blue Jays starter Kevin Gausman has seen plenty of early action in his recent outings, with a YRFI cashing in five of his last six starts.

Astros at Guardians: NRFI  (-132 at ProphetX)

The Houston Astros have the longest active NRFI streak at four straight games and have the third-most in the majors this year.

They’re taking on the Cleveland Guardians, who are Bottom-5 in first-inning runs in their games and are riding a 3-game NRFI streak of their own.

Gavin Williams starts for the Guardians, and a first-inning run has plated in just two of his last six starts.

Cleveland has had just an NRFI in 18 of 29 home games this year, and Houston has 19 of 29 NRFI on the road.

Mariners at Angels: YRFI  (Play at ProphetX)

The Seattle Mariners and Los Angeles Angels have played more directly to the NRFI of late, but we're veering away from recency bias in favor of targeting the pitching matchup.

LA’s Jack Kochanowicz has seen a first-inning score in three of his last five starts. He has an NRFI against Seattle this year but was also tagged for four first-inning runs in a start vs. the M’s last year. Such is the life of a pitch-to-contact hurler.

Seattle’s Luis Castillo has seen a first-inning run plate in three of his last six outings.
