We have a busy MLB betting slate today, including a matchup between the Toronto Blue Jays and Seattle Mariners at Rogers Centre.

After a slow start to the season, Anthony Santander is starting to heat up, and I believe he'll continue to mash tonight.

Find out why with my Blue Jays predictions and free MLB picks below.

Blue Jays predictions for April 18

Today’s Blue Jays best bet: Santander plays the hits

Anthony Santander Over 1 total bases (-120 at BetVictor)

The Toronto Blue Jays host the Seattle Mariners in the first of a three-game series tonight.

Toronto is sending Bowden Francis to the mound, while Seattle counters with 25-year-old righty Bryan Woo, who's 2-0 on the season with a 2.84 ERA.

The Seattle starter has been excellent this season, but he did allow six hits in his previous outing and has given up four extra-base hits so far this season — two doubles and a pair of homers.

There's one Blue Jays batter in particular that I'm eyeing to record an extra-base hit tonight and go Over his bases total of 1. That's Anthony Santander.

Although the Jays slugger has never faced Woo, Santander has enjoyed immense success against this Mariners pitching staff throughout his career with 33 extra-base hits in 26 games.

It took Santander a couple of weeks to find his stroke, but things seem to be coming together nicely for the prized free agent. He’s now recorded a hit in seven straight games, while recording an extra-base hit in each of his last five outings, totaling three doubles and two homers.

Additionally, Woo is a flyball pitcher with 45% of his outs coming through the air. Santander should be able to take advantage of that and get the ball in the air as a player who slugged over .500 last season.

Furthermore, his barrel rate was in the 79th percentile among all MLB players, leading to his 44 home runs last year, along with his 25 doubles.

Today’s Blue Jays same-game parlay (SGP)

Anthony Santander Over 0.5 total bases

Bowden Francis Under 5.5 hits

Under 8.5

For the first leg of our SGP, we’ll stick with the best bet and take Santander to go Over 0.5 bases tonight.

The second leg will fade this Mariners offense that ranks 24th in batting average by betting Bowden Francis to go Under 5.5 hits. Moreover, the Toronto righty has allowed five or fewer hits in 11 of his last 13 starts, including two of his three this season.

Lastly, let’s bet the game to stay Under the total of 8.5 runs. It’s a strong pitching matchup on both sides, and neither team has had much success when it comes to producing runs. The Under is 21-15 combined for these teams this season.
