Aaron Judge has feasted on the Baltimore Orioles in recent years, and there’s no reason to expect that to change this time around.

My Yankees vs. Orioles predictions see Judge having another big night at the plate against Cade Povich, who he has owned thus far. Let’s take a closer look at my MLB picks for September 18.

Yankees vs Orioles prediction

Yankees vs Orioles best bet: Aaron Judge Over 1.5 total bases (-105)

Aaron Judge is having another monster season, and he enters today’s game in very good form. He’s averaged 2.9 total bases over the last 10 games, well above his already strong season output of 2.4 per contest.

He has a dream matchup to keep it going against Cade Povich, who owns a 5.05 ERA and has allowed 17 homers through 101 innings of work.

Povich is a fastball-heavy pitcher, throwing it nearly 20% more often than any other pitch in his arsenal. That’s a recipe for disaster against Judge.

The New York Yankees captain is hitting .270 vs. fastballs thrown by lefties. More importantly, that comes attached with a .486 ISO and .757 SLG%.

Judge is 2-for-2 with a pair of homers against Povich in his career. Given Povich’s inability to keep the ball in the park and tendency to throw fastballs, it would not be the least bit surprising if the MVP took him yard once again.

It’s also worth noting Judge always seems to have his best against the Baltimore Orioles, clearing 1.5 bases in 10 of the last 13 head-to-head meetings.

Yankees vs Orioles same-game parlay (SGP)

Cody Bellinger has driven in 10 runs over his past 10 games, and this is not a spot where his production should slow. He’s hitting .364 against lefties on the year and, hitting behind Judge, should regularly have traffic in front of him.

Paul Goldschmidt is also likely to get in on the fun in what could be a huge offensive night for the Yankees. He's insanely good against left-handed pitching, owning a .360 average and a strikeout rate of just 13%.

Yankees vs Orioles SGP

  • Cody Bellinger Over 0.5 RBI
  • Paul Goldschmidt Over 0.5 hits
