Sam Bennett had a quiet Game 3 in this series, but if the Panthers are going to knot it up at 2-2, they need him to play a big role.

The Florida Panthers snuck away with a massive win in overtime in Game 3 thanks to the heroics of Brad Marchand, but Sam Bennett didn't put up a single shot on goal. My Maple Leafs vs. Panthers props and NHL picks believe that will change tonight while Marchand stays sharp.

Best Maple Leafs vs Panthers props

  • Panthers Bennett o2.5 SOG (-150)
  • Panthers Marchand o0.5 pts (+105)
  • Panthers Bobrovsky o22.5 saves (-105)

Maple Leafs vs Panthers player props for May 11

Sam Bennett Over 2.5 shots on goal (-150 at Sports Interaction)

Sam Bennett hasn't had as loud of a last two games as most would have expected following his Game 1 performance. However, Bennett is a key contributor to this aggressive Florida Panthers offense, scoring seven points in eight games this postseason.

He plays on a lethal line with Carter Verhaeghe and Matthew Tkachuk, who generate a ton of scoring chances, which typically result in Bennett putting pucks on net.

Bennett has the second-most shots on goal in the playoffs for the Panthers as he has tallied 25 over eight games, only one shot behind the team leader Sam Reinhart.

The Panthers have put up a minimum of 28 shots on goal through the first three games, so they should be able to generate quite a few chances again tonight. They're averaging the most shots per game amongst all the other teams remaining in the playoffs at 31.0 per contest.

Bennett needs to be a difference-maker tonight, just like he has been through most of the playoffs. Throughout the regular season, Bennett averaged 3.41 shots on goal per game at home, so I have no doubt that he will be able to get at least three in this contest.

Brad Marchand Over 0.5 points (+105 at Sports Interaction)

Brad Marchand is currently tied for the team lead in points during the postseason, producing at a point-per-game pace.

Not only did he score the biggest goal of the playoffs thus far for the Panthers, but he and his linemates, Eetu Luostarinen and Anton Lundell, have been the most consistent line for the Panthers.

Marchand is currently riding a five-game point streak and has four points in three games this series. He's been known to be a Leafs killer in the playoffs, as he now has 33 points in 31 games in his career against them.

The Panthers count on Marchand's line to contribute and produce offensively, and with the way that they've played, he should find a way onto the score sheet tonight.

Sergei Bobrovsky Over 22.5 saves (-105 at Sports Interaction)

The Maple Leafs were able to generate 31 shots on goal in Game 3, and they came out of the gate with their hair on fire.

It's surprising that the Panthers were able to claw their way back in, but it can be anticipated that the Leafs will have a similar aggressiveness offensively.

In this series, Toronto is averaging 27 shots per game, and with the number being at 22.5 for Sergei Bobrovsky saves, it's hard to picture him giving up four goals again on home ice. Bobrovsky certainly has not been at his best in these playoffs, but he is still more than capable of turning things around and stealing a game for his team.

Bobrovsky has hit this Over in two of the three games in this series thus far, and should be able to do so again this evening.

The Leafs are going to play with a ton of desperation, as they hope to avoid this series being tied at 2-2 going back to Toronto. Bobrovsky should see a ton of shots tonight.
