The Chicago Sky head into the WNBA All-Star break with an injury-riddled roster that a struggling Atlanta Dream squad can take advantage of this afternoon at Wintrust Center.

With Sky guard Ariel Atkins on the shelf, my Dream vs. Sky predictions and WNBA picks expect Atlanta guard Allisha Gray to exploit the weakened Chicago perimeter defense on Wednesday, July 16.

My Dream vs Sky best bet: Allisha Gray Over 2.5 threes (+100 at bet365)

The Atlanta Dream have one primary concern heading into today’s WNBA tilt with the Chicago Sky

Dream guard Allisha Gray is mired in a 2-for-13 long-range shooting slump in her last two games, and well below her season average of 2.3 made threes on 39% shooting.

Gray can - and should - bounce back today, as Chicago allows 10 made triples on 27 long-range attempts per game.

Chicago is even more vulnerable without star defender Ariel Atkins, which opens the door for Gray to clear her Over 2.5 made three-point shooting prop.

Gray should find enough wide-open looks with 30+ minutes today against a poor-switching and reed-thin Sky backcourt, weakened further by Atkins' absence.

Despite her recent struggles, there’s strong betting value at even money for Gray to knock down at least three treys against Chicago.

Dream vs Sky same-game parlay (SGP)

Allisha Gray Over 2.5 threes

Jordin Canada Over 1.5 threes

Dream moneyline

With Chicago’s defensive woes, I expect Jordin Canada and Gray to exploit the Sky from downtown. I’ll also add Atlanta to cover the spread for a solid, three-leg same-game parlay.

Canada knocks down 27% of her triple attempts. She’s made 6 of 15 from downtown across the last two games with Howard on the shelf, and Chicago’s below-average defense suggests a big shooting night.

Chicago has lost eight of its last 10 meetings with Atlanta. Chicago’s depleted roster - Angel Reese is also sidelined - can’t keep pace for 40 minutes against the Dream's long-range shooters and experienced frontcourt.
