My Canadiens analysis
Cole Caufield is having a fantastic campaign for the Habs, sitting second on the team with 69 points. That includes 37 goals and 32 assists in 81 contests. He’s also averaging 2.93 shots on goal per game, which is our focus tonight.
The 24-year-old has cashed the Over in shots on target in three of his last five appearances, putting eight pucks on net across two meetings with the Toronto Maple Leafs and Ottawa Senators.
While he’s failed to register a shot on target in two meetings with the Carolina Hurricanes this season, this is a massive game for the Montreal Canadiens in their pursuit of a Wild Card spot, and it’s at home. They will need one of their best players to step up, and Caufield has been creating chances lately.
In April, Caufield is also averaging 2.87 SOG. Given the recent trends, this bet is certainly worth a look tonight at the Bell Centre.

The Finnish winger has cashed the Over in shots in two of his last three games and just had four shots on target in a loss to the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday. He’s also averaging 2.0 SOG in two games versus Carolina this season.
Nick Suzuki is the main man for the Canadiens, leading the squad with 87 points. Although he only has one point in his previous three appearances, Suzuki will be relied upon to step up in one of the most important games of the season. Plus, he plays well against the Hurricanes.
Across two meetings, he has one goal and two assists. He’s hit the Over in points in five of his last seven. Suzuki will contribute tonight and get in on the action, whether it be scoring and finding an assist.
