Oilers vs Golden Knights Props & Best Bets for Today

Since returning to the lineup from injury at the start of the playoffs, Evander Kane has been busy and constantly visible. We like his shots on goal prop — and a Leon Draisaitl goal — in Game 5 between the Oilers and Golden Knights.

The Edmonton Oilers are looking to close out the series and punch their ticket to their third Western Conference Finals in the last four years with a win over the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 5.

Evander Kane has been an X-factor in this series with four points in four games. He highlights my Oilers vs Golden Knights props on Wednesday, May 14.

For more NHL picks, look at our full Golden Knights vs Oilers predictions.

Oilers vs Golden Knights player props for May 14

Evander Kane Over 2.5 shots on goal (+110 at Bet99)

Evander Kane was a beast for the Edmonton Oilers in Game 4, as he boosted them to a 3-0 victory by adding a goal and an assist. Kane missed the entire regular season due to injury but has made an immediate impact on this playoff run, tallying four goals and three assists in nine games.

Kane is coming off of a game where he tallied four shots on goal, and he has had a minimum of three SOG in five of his games.

In his postseason career, Kane is averaging 3.02 shots per game, so this isn't uncommon territory for the Oilers' goal scorer. Edmonton has outshot the Vegas Golden Knights in three of the four games, and if they're going to close this series out, they need the secondary scoring to keep on coming.

Getting this Kane prop at a plus number is an absolute no-brainer for me.

Mark Stone Under 0.5 points (+125 at Bet99)

Golden Knights captain Mark Stone has not looked like himself in this series, especially in the previous two games where he has had logged just one shot on goal in each and hasn't found the scoresheet.

Granted, Stone did get hurt in Game 3, and only played a total of six shifts for 5:54 worth of ice time, but it looks like whatever he hurt in Game 3, might still be lingering.

Stone was off to a decent start in the playoffs, points-wise, but he has not been as dominant as in years past. That said, Stone isn't the only Vegas player who hasn't been at the top of his game, but it's noticeable that he might be fighting through some nagging injuries.

The Golden Knights power play has gone 0-for-5 over the past two games, and their top unit has not been all that consistent through the playoffs. Stone hasn't been able to carry his team, and I don't see that changing in Game 5.

Leon Draisaitl anytime goal (+115 at Bet99)

Leon Draisaitl has gone two straight games without a goal, but he did score in both of the previous games in Vegas.

Draisaitl is one of the best goal scorers in the NHL, as he led the league this season with 52. The scoring hasn't been as hot in the playoffs, but he still has five goals in the 10 games.

Whenever the Oilers need a big win, it seems like a big goal from Draisaitl is involved. Draisaitl was a little quiet in Game 4, too quiet, and I don't see that happening two games in a row. I also don't see him going three straight games without a goal.

He is the biggest goal-scoring threat the Oilers have, and as they look to close out this series, the Oilers will need him and Connor McDavid to step up.

Draisaitl has eight goals in nine career playoff games against the Golden Knights.
