Phillies vs Yankees Prediction, Picks & Odds — Saturday, July 26

No one is quite as hot as Kyle Schwarber right now in the National League, and he can pad his post-ASG resume with a big game against Yankees SP Marcus Stroman. We expect the Phillies slugger to do just that this afternoon.

The Philadelphia Phillies and New York Yankees continue their weekend series at Yankee Stadium this afternoon after the visitors rolled to a 12-5 win on Friday night.

Kyle Schwarber kept up his hot start to the second half with two home runs, and my Phillies vs. Yankees predictions and MLB picks expect another strong showing from the slugger on Saturday, July 26.

Phillies vs Yankees prediction

My Phillies vs Yankees best bet: Kyle Schwarber Over 1.5 total bases (+100 at Caesars)

It was a fun series opener for the Philadelphia Phillies, who scored all 12 of their runs in the final five innings to hand the New York Yankees their third loss in four games.

Kyle Schwarber was a force at the plate with three hits, two home runs, and four RBI, as the Phillies outfielder continued his scorching start to the second half.

Not only has Schwarber now gone yard in three straight, but he leads all NL players in homers (6) and RBI (13) since play resumed. He’s also hit Over 1.5 total bases in five of seven outings since the All-Star Game.

The Phillies slugger should have the upper hand against Yankees starter Marcus Stroman as the right-hander has struggled mightily this season with a bloated 5.64 ERA and a 1.48 WHIP.

Left-handed batters are faring very well against Stroman with a .289 average, .539 slugging percentage, and a .300 BABIP – just another reason to back Schwarber this afternoon.

Phillies vs Yankees same-game parlay (SGP)

Kyle Schwarber Over 1.5 total bases

Phillies -1.5

Over 9.5

Ranger Suarez allowed six earned runs in his last start, but he’s been a lot more consistent than Stroman and should give the Phillies an edge on the mound. Philadelphia has also averaged more than six runs per game since the All-Star break, so I like their offense to help win by at least a couple today.

The Yankees and Phillies rank third and 10th, respectively, in runs per game this year, so I’m expecting another offensive explosion.
