The NBA Draft Lottery is tonight, where we'll finally learn who will get to draft Duke superstar Cooper Flagg.
Well, technically we'll learn who will get the first-overall pick, but Flagg is the overwhelming favorite to go No. 1, so it is the Flagg lottery.
However, draft position will be important as several other impact players are available — there aren't many draft markets available yet, but here are the latest NBA odds for the 2025 NBA Draft, with more markets expected once the draft order is set.
Once Cooper Flagg officially announced that he will, as expected, go to the NBA, the sensational Blue Devils freshman saw his odds to be the first-overall pick jump to -6600. representing an implied probability of 98.51%.
The NBA Draft Lottery rules give the bottom three teams an equal chance at winning the lottery, so the Jazz, Wizards, and Hornets all have the same odds to be awarded the No. 1 pick, followed by the Pelicans, then Sixers, Nets, and Raptors (all teams with 30 wins or fewer).
The 2025 NBA Draft order won't be set until the lottery is completed tonight.
Based on the inverted regular season NBA standings, the hypothetical draft order for the lottery would be:
Utah
Washington
Charlotte
New Orleans
Philadelphia
Brooklyn
Toronto
San Antonio
Portland
Phoenix
Miami
Dallas
Chicago
Sacramento
Atlanta
Orlando
NBA Draft betting trends
Here are some recent trends you'll want to keep in mind when betting on NBA Draft odds:
Positions have been reasonably well-distributed among the No. 1 picks. Over the past 20 NBA Drafts, eight have been forwards, seven guards, and five centers.
"One-and-done" college freshmen make up the overwhelming majority of recent top picks, being selected No. 1 in 16 of the past 19 seasons since high schoolers were ruled ineligible.
Among NCAA schools, Duke leads the all-time count with five No. 1-overall picks, including Paolo Banchero in 2022.
With Zaccharie Risacher selected first overall in 2024, it marked the second straight year that an international player was taken No. 1 — after just one such player (Andrea Bargnani, 2006) was selected in the previous 17 years.
