As we head into Week 3 of the NFL season, the first head coach fired odds have put Miami Dolphins’ Mike McDaniel in a troubling spotlight.

McDaniel is now the overwhelming -500 favorite to be shown the door after an 0-2 start — and with Buffalo looming, 0-3 feels inevitable.

First NFL coach fired betting favorites

Dolphins Mike McDaniel (-500)

The writing appears to be on the wall for Mike McDaniel.

After staring 0-3 directly in the face, the Miami Dolphins have no choice but to fire the man they hired to bring some respectability back to the program.

It'll be interesting to see who the Dolphins go after to fill the vacant HC spot.

Titans Brian Callahan (+350)

It's tough to fire a coach after just two years in charge of a rebuilding team, so I'm a bit shocked to see Brian Callahan so high on this list.

Maybe he's in over his head with some of his decisions, but what can you do with a rookie quarterback under center and limited playmakers around him?

The Tennessee Titans were always in line for some growing pains, and I don't believe Callahan should be worried, yet.

Giants Brian Daboll (+500)

There wasn't much positive to take away from the New York Giants' season-opening loss to the Washington Commanders, but they looked good in Week 2 vs. the Cowboys.

The offense, led by Russell Wilson, put up 37 points, but the D couldn't get a stop when it mattered and gave up 40.

With a rebuild still in progress, Daboll might yet finish out the year as head coach of Big Blue.
