Remember when Michigan State opened the 2021 season as +3 underdogs (and +135 on the moneyline) to Northwestern? An easy 38-21 Spartans win was a great start to the season. Considering the Spartans finished the season 11-2 and the Wildcats went 3-9, it's a reminder that there's always an edge somewhere.

Best Betting Memory

Toledo vs. Western Michigan in 2020. The Rockets scored a touchdown to go up 38-28 with just under three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. Naturally, I was feeling good about my Toledo +2 point spread and +115 moneyline tickets. Not so fast — with the help of an onside kick, Western Michigan scored two touchdowns in the final 0:45 for a 41-38 win that spoiled both of my tickets.
