The Connecticut Sun have dropped nine straight, and they’ll look to get back in the win column at home on Sunday after a four-game road trip.

The Las Vegas Aces are coming off their worst loss of the season, but my Aces vs. Sun predictions and WNBA picks for Sunday, July 6, expect the visiting team to earn a comfortable win on the road thanks to a monster performance from A’ja Wilson.

Aces vs Sun predictions

My Aces vs Sun best bet: A’ja Wilson Over 36.5 points + rebounds + assists (-120 at bet365)

A'ja Wilson is averaging just 22.1 points per game in 2025, her fewest in three seasons. After returning from a three-game absence, however, she’s up her scoring to 23.8 across her last six outings.

In that six-game span, Wilson has averaged exactly 36 PRA. She’s hit the Over on this combo line in two straight heading into Sunday’s matchup with the Connecticut Sun, averaging 42 PRA across her last two road tilts.

In two matchups with Connecticut this season, Wilson has averaged 35 PRA, falling just shy of this mark in both. The Sun have been dreadful on defense this season, allowing the most points, most rebounds, and second-most assists to opponents.

Connecticut’s defensive rating of 113.2 is 3.5 points worse than the next worse defense, the Chicago Sky. Wilson is on a roll, and she should be fired up to guide her team to a win and put Thursday’s blowout in the rear view. Expect a huge game against the W’s worst defense.

Aces vs Sun same-game parlay (SGP)

A’ja Wilson Over 36.5 points + rebounds + assists

Aces -18

Olivia Nelson-Ododa Over 9.5 points

The Las Vegas Aces got cooked 81-54 by the Caitlin Clark-less Fever on Thursday, and head coach Becky Hammon ripped into her team.

“That's a complete lack of professionalism to come here with that effort," she told reporters afterward. "It is the worst offensive night I've ever seen [since] I've been here in the last four years."

The 8-9 Aces aren’t where they hoped to be at this point in the season, but I expect them to come out firing after a brutal loss.

A matchup with the lowly Sun should be just what they need to bounce back. Connecticut has lost its last four without leader Marina Mabrey by an average of 26.3 points.

Olivia Nelson-Ododa is averaging a career-high 8.9 points per game this season, and she’s scored in double figures eight times in 16 appearances. She’s reached that mark in three straight and five of her last seven games.

With Mabrey out and Tina Charles banged up, Nelson-Ododa should see some additional scoring opportunities in this one. She scored 12 and eight in two matchups with the Aces this season.
