The Seattle Storm own a win over each of the Top 4 teams in the WNBA. Another win over the New York Liberty would vault them into the Top 4 themselves.

But the visitors are pegged as 5.5-point road underdogs in the WNBA odds, despite the fact New York won’t be at full strength.

Our Storm vs. Liberty prediction thinks that provides an opening to backing the ‘dogs with our WNBA picks for Sunday, July 6.

Storm vs Liberty predictions

My Storm vs Liberty best bet: Storm +4.5 (-115 at BetMGM)

The Seattle Storm are halfway home on a four-game road trip, getting clubbed at Golden State before rebounding with a close 80-79 win over Atlanta on Thursday.

They’ll try to ride that momentum right into Barclays and a second-straight win over the New York Liberty after dumping them 89-79 on June 22.

That game is part of the Liberty’s current funk right now, as they’ve dropped four of six since starting the year at 10-1.

It also coincides with the absence of center Jonquel Jones, who will miss a seventh straight game because of an ankle injury. Over that stretch, they’re third-worst in points allowed at 88.5 per game.

While the Liberty have won seven of the last 10 head-to-heads, Seattle has been the bettors’ pick, going 8-2-0 against the spread. They’re also 5-2 ATS in their last seven on the road.

With Jones out, look for the Storm to be able to hang with another league heavy and cover.

Storm vs Liberty same-game parlay (SGP)

Storm +4.5

Sabrina Ionescu Under 18.5 points

Sabrina Ionescu Over 2.5 3-point makes

We’ll tag the scoring stylings of New York’s Sabrina Ionescu into two legs of our SGP.

She tallied 20 points against Los Angeles last game, the first time in five games she’s cracked the 20-point plateau. But that was against a Bottom-3 scoring D.

Seattle is a Top 5 scoring defense, and the previous four games were against teams in the top half of points allowed in the league.

That doesn’t mean Ionescu won’t contribute: she’s drilled three triples in back-to-back games, and has hit at least three 3-pointers in four of her last six against the Storm.
