We have a busy betting slate in Major League Baseball today, including the series finale between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Athletics.

Bo Bichette has been swinging a hot bat leading into the All-Star break and my Blue Jays predictions expect that to continue in a favorable pitching matchup.

Blue Jays predictions for July 13

Today’s Blue Jays best bet: The Bo show

Bo Bichette Over 1.5 total bases (-133 at BetVictor)

The Toronto Blue Jays and Athletics wrap up their series tonight before heading off for the All-Star break. Toronto is sending Jose Berrios to the mound, while Jeffrey Springs starts for the A’s.

The Jays' lineup has a fairly good track record against Springs, who’s allowing a .291 batting average and an OPS of .835 against them.

Leading the way for the birds is Bo Bichette, who’s 5-for-13 in his career against Springs, and I expect more magic from the bat of the Jays’ shortstop.

Bichette is currently riding an eight-game hitting streak, and has four multi-hit games over his last five outings, averaging 2.65 bases per game.

Springs relies on a slow fastball, which he throws 42% of the time and barely touches 90 mph. Bichette should be able to handle that pitch well, considering he has a .311 against the four-seamer this season, the highest average against all the types of pitches he’s faced this season.

Additionally, Springs has a 3.92 ERA, but has an xERA of 4.17 with a .254 xBA, which ranks him in the 41st percentile in baseball.

That should go well for Bichette, who has great contact numbers with a .316 xBA, ranking him in the 99th percentile.

Today’s Blue Jays same-game parlay (SGP)

Bo Bichette Over 1.5 total bases

Jeffrey Springs Under 4.5 strikeouts

Jose Berrios Over 17.5 outs recorded

For the first leg of our SGP, we’ll kick it up a notch and take Bichette to go Over 2.5 total bases today. He’s gone over this total in four of his last five games.

We’ll continue fading the A’s starter by taking the Under on his 4.5 strikeout total. Springs has four or fewer Ks in four of his last five starts, and no team in baseball strikes out less than the Jays.

For the final leg of my SGP, give me Over 17.5 outs for Berrios. He’s been an innings-eater all season, reaching the 18 out mark in six of his last eight starts, one of which included a six-inning performance in a Win over the Athletics back on May 29.
