On the mound, the San Francisco Giants have lost Hayden Birdsong’s last four starts, with the righthander allowing 17 ER in 18 1/3 IP in that span.
On the flip side, southpaw Jacob Lopez has helped the Athletics to victory in five straight starts after dropping his first seven outings. He’s allowed just six runs (four earned) in 26 1/3 in his last five games.
