Let’s take a look at three spots that pop off the page with my MLB player props for July 10.

Best MLB player props today

  • Padres Machado o1.5 H+R+R (-135)

Our 3 best MLB player props for Thursday, July 10

J.P. Crawford Over 1.5 hits + runs + RBI (-135 at BET99)

J.P. Crawford has been a hit machine against righties all season. He is sporting a .317 average and .401 OBP, living on the basepaths each night.

That should continue Thursday against Marcus Stroman. The veteran righty has missed a lot of time with injury and has pitched horribly when available.

He owns a 7.45 ERA, a 1.66 WHIP, and has recorded more earned runs (16) than strikeouts (12) through nearly 20 innings of work.

Lefties have hit Stroman especially well, sporting a .292 batting average, .313 ISO, and .950 OPS to date.

Crawford hits atop the order and has the likes of Julio Rodriguez, Cal Raleigh, and Randy Arozarena — all of whom have higher batting averages on the road than at home — backing him up, giving him a good chance of scoring whenever he gets on base.

Michael Soroka Under 17.5 outs recorded (-135 at BetMGM)

This is an ambitious line for Michael Soroka.

His total has been set at 17.5 in only two of the last 10 starts, and one of them was a home game against the Colorado Rockies, who are 21-72 and woefully ineffective offensively away from Coors Field.

Soroka has averaged just 15.8 outs per start this season and gone Under this line in eight of 12, including six of seven away games.

While the Cardinals have not been great offensively of late, their numbers are good on the season — especially at home.

They rank second in batting average, sixth in on base percentage, and seventh in wOBA on home field this season when facing right-handed pitching.

The Cardinals haven’t hit for a ton of power, but they consistently get on base, keeping the gravy train rolling and working up pitch counts.

MacKenzie Gore pitched six strong in a sweat-free win Wednesday, allowing the Nationals to preserve their bullpen. I don’t think they’ll have to run Soroka into the ground here if he struggles against a potent offense.

Manny Machado Over 1.5 hits + runs + RBI (-135 at SportsInteraction)

Manny Machado and the Padres have gone a little cold offensively, but they have a fantastic opportunity to change that against Eduardo Rodriguez and the Diamondbacks.

E-Rod has looked well past his best before date this season, sporting a 5.78 ERA, 1.62 WHIP, and earning only three wins through 15 starts.

Machado looks to be the prime beneficiary of this matchup. He has recorded a 16.7% barrel rate, .375 wOBA, and .884 OPS against left-handed pitching this season. Machado leads all Padres hitters in each category.

Rodriguez has not been able to keep traffic off the bases this season and Machado is more than capable of driving runners home. Look for him to do some damage against a struggling veteran and a porous bullpen.
