There’s a big series at Fenway Park this weekend as the surging Boston Red Sox open a four-game set against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Although Boston has won six straight, Tampa Bay has been one of baseball’s hottest teams over the past couple of months and gets a favorable matchup vs. Walker Buehler.

My Rays vs. Red Sox predictions highlight a player prop for one Tampa slugger, plus more MLB picks for this American League East battle with first pitch set for 7:10 pm ET on Thursday, July 10.

Rays vs Red Sox prediction

My Rays vs Red Sox best bet: Jonathan Aranda Over 0.5 RBI (+170 at BetMGM)

Although the Boston Red Sox are red hot, the Tampa Bay Rays are the type of team that can put the skids on a streak.

Tampa has been one of the best teams in baseball since the end of May, posting a 29-17 record over their last 46 games.

Meanwhile, Walker Buehler has been a colossal mess in his first season with Boston, ranking in the bottom 15% in expected ERA and expected batting average. Additionally, his strikeout-to-walk ratio is one of the worst marks of his career.

Facing a guy like Jonathan Aranda won't be pleasant, as the Rays’ first baseman is hitting .327 with a .901 OPS, 11 home runs, and 49 RBI. He’s also hitting .476 with a 1.262 OPS and four RBIs over his last five games.

To top it off, Aranda is 2-for-4 in his career vs. Buehler with a home run. We are still getting an awesome price for him to get an RBI tonight, which is something he’s accomplished in three of his last four games.

Rays vs Red Sox same-game parlay (SGP)

Jonathan Aranda Over 0.5 RBI

Taj Bradley Over 5.5 strikeouts

Jarren Duran Over 1.5 total bases

Countering Buehler is Taj Bradley, and the 24-year-old hurler should clear his strikeout prop against a Red Sox lineup that sports the third-highest K-rate vs. right-handed pitching.

However, one Sox hitter who’s given him problems is Jarren Duran. The Boston outfielder is 4-for-11 with a double and a triple in his career vs. Bradley.

The sportsbook where he does the bulk of his betting is bet365 thanks to its numerous prop betting options and competitive odds. His best advice? Find the balance between the numbers and what you see on the playing field. Then find the best price using multiple books. And don’t ask him where the nickname Taco comes from. It's not an interesting story. Seriously.<
