Pacers vs Cavaliers Prediction, Picks & Odds for Tuesday's NBA Playoffs Game 5

Myles Turner has had a tall task of dealing with Cleveland's frontcourt, but he's risen to the occasion more than once and will do so again on Tuesday.

The Cleveland Cavaliers’ knees are wobbling as they return home down 3-1 to the Indiana Pacers in this Eastern Conference semifinal.

Myles Turner is a big part of Indiana’s success, and my Pacers vs. Cavaliers predictions call for another busy day for the 6-foot-11 center.

Here are my best NBA picks for this May 13 matchup.

Who will win Pacers vs Cavaliers Game 5?

Cleveland is a large favorite at home despite being on the ropes in this series. The Cavs are much healthier than they've been in this series, with the games swinging back to Cleveland.

I could see the Cavs winning, but the 7-point spread seems a tad high considering how well Indiana is playing right now.

Pacers vs Cavaliers prediction

My best bet: Myles Turner 10+ points/7+ rebounds (-105 at bet365)

Throughout this series, Myles Turner has battled on the boards with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He’s recorded rebounding totals of seven, eight, and 11 in three of the four games (had just three in Game 3 due to foul trouble).

He’s played just 26 and 22 minutes the past two outings due to those foul issues and the Indiana Pacers' blowout win in Game 4, after logging 33 and 35 minutes in the opening two contests.

Game 5 will see his minutes trend toward 30+, with his rebounding projections flirting with nine boards on Tuesday night.

For the series, Turner’s advanced metrics show he averages more than 15 rebounding chances per game, including 15 potential rebounds in Game 3 when Cleveland returned its full frontcourt. On top of cleaning the glass for the Pacers, Turner is filling the basket.

He’s averaging more than 17 points in the series and shooting above 52% from the field, including 20 points on 7-for-13 success in just 22 minutes in Game 4. However, four of those makes were from 3-point range (4-for-4), and I don’t expect Turner to be as sharp from outside on Tuesday.

Game 5 models sit around 15 points from the Indiana big man, and with the series swinging back to Cleveland and the Cavaliers desperate for a win, clean looks could be hard to come by.

My plan for Game 5 is to take Turner’s milestone markets in a same-game parlay, combining his 10+ points with 7+ rebounds for a -105 payout.

Turner’s solo rebound prop is priced as high as -145, but we can dull that vig by asking him to put up 10 points — something the center has done in all but one of nine playoff games and 31 of his last 35 games overall, going back to mid-February.

Pacers vs Cavaliers same-game parlay

Myles Turner 15+ points

Myles Turner 7+ rebounds

Indiana Pacers +6.5

While our best bet is only asking for 10 or more points, we can side with the Game 5 projections and take Turner to score 15 points or more.

Turner is averaging 15 rebounding chances per game in this series, and some projections are closer to nine boards in Game 5.

The Pacers proved injuries are not the only thing keeping the Cavs out of this series. Game 5 will be a war, and I like Indiana to at least keep it close.
