Red Sox vs Tigers prediction

My Red Sox vs Tigers best bet: Spencer Torkelson 1+ RBI (+170 at Caesars)

Spencer Torkelson is swinging the bat very well this season for the Detroit Tigers, who own the best record in the American League. He’s batting .247 with 10 homers and 33 RBI in 40 games. Only Aaron Judge has driven in more runs among AL hitters.

The first baseman has six RBI in his last six contests and has finished with at least one in four of those. Torkelson was 1-for-3 against the Texas Rangers on Sunday, driving in one run.

Detroit will face Boston Red Sox right-hander Tanner Houck tonight, and Torkelson is 1-for-5 lifetime against him with an RBI. More importantly, Houck is struggling immensely, posting a 6.10 ERA while allowing 28 earned runs in just 41 1/3 innings of work.

Also, 17 of Torkelson’s RBIs have come at home, and the Tigers host Boston in this series. This version of Torkelson is a step up from the one who looked lost at the plate for much of 2024 and has already matched his home run total from a year ago in 51 fewer games.

At +170 odds, this bet is offering significant value as he hits in the heart of the lineup and is facing a scuffling starter.

Caesars QuickPick: Our Red Sox vs Tigers same-game parlay (SGP)

Spencer Torkelson 1+ RBI

Alex Bregman Over 0.5 hits

Jarren Duran Under 1.5 hits

Alex Bregman continues to rake for the Red Sox. He’s hitting .311 with nine home runs, 15 doubles, and 31 RBI. It’s a rare occasion where Bregman doesn’t have a hit in a game and he’s cashed this Over in four of his last six contests.

The third baseman is also better on the road with a .326 average compared to .293 at Fenway Park.

The Tigers send Jackson Jobe to the hill tonight, who has given up a lot of hits and has limited big-league experience. Bregman will do some damage against him.

Jarren Duran has also been a key piece for Boston, but his total in hits sits at 1.5 for this matchup and that’s a little too high for me. He’s hit the Under in six of his last eight appearances and doesn’t typically record many multi-hit games.
